... is an acronym, standing for Child of Deaf Adults. It's a remake, in English, of a French film called La Famille Bélier, which was first released in 2014. The two films had the same producer: Philippe Rousselet.
The title character, Ruby Rossi, is the only hearing member of her family. She is played by the English actress Emilia Jones; the remaining members of the family are played by deaf actors, who communicate using sign language. CODA is described (by Wikipedia) as a "coming–of–age comedy–drama film".
